The current design takes geometric cues from the existing design and incorporates it into a more streamlined and minimalistic design. The Green represents the Australian’s national colour, the Red represents the New Zealand’s National colour and the Yellow represents the Papua New Guinea’s national colour. The transparent ‘s’ is the standout feature of this design and represents AASA’s commitment to identify, develop and support schools in the Australasian region. The transparent ‘s’ design will take the colour of any background used which represents flexibility and the equitable nature of the AASA in the face of adversity. The bold strokes represent ‘sturdy pillars’ that are essential to Architectural design and exudes AASA’s unwavering commitment to advancing the field of Architecture.
